RE : Play Iszak

Description

I always say that my DA gallery is outdated.. (I hope) this serves as proof I made a lot of improvement.
Anyway.
A fanart of RE : Play, comic of :iconnyanko-chan: and made for her contest. It's supposed to be Iszak, but my style is so far from :iconnyanko-chan:'s that even though I analyzed all Iszak features on her pictures and tried to translate them into mine I'm not sure if one can see that at all. (My efforts to figure out the fashion out deserve only a minute of silence; I even found No Future clothes on the internet and still was confused).
To the composition: based on my first idea that was altogether too challenging. Went though 5 other ideas and ended with this one. Inspired by what we learn in volume 1; volume 2 has been failing to reach me for last half a year and I can't afford double order so I just have to wait :(

If you feel that his expression is vague or even has contradicting elements - that was the purpose, I spend a lot of time to make it right.

OK, I guess that's enough excuses.

Technical: Ink on paper (ZIG Millenium, Faber-Castell and UniPin pens), simple tone in Mangastudio

OK, this time there's not much to pick on :D (said n, and there followed much rejoicing ;P )

...well, at first i thought that his cranium seems a little too small, but then again, maybe not. Depends on the type of hair and other anatomical variables.

But there is something wrong with the hand. Yes, i do know it is perfectly possible to hold your hand to your face like this, i checked myself in front of a mirror. But it involves quite a muscle tension to hold the wrist and elbow at this angle while keeping the shoulder in a (apparently) relaxed position... it should go way up. I wasn't sure about the thumb location, either, but it looks like you were reffing from your own hands so I take it this is how it was.

...not sure about the head-hand proportions, though. Perhaps the hand should be a tad smaller.

[/bitching]

Other than that, the pic is quite nice :D I don't see why you complain about your grip on the fashion, it looks alright. And I think I like your b/w pictures better than paintings.
Probably because I generally tend to like b/w pictures better...>.>
Anyways, keep on the good work :D
